CEO and founder of Core Health
Founded in 2008, Core Health emerged as the first subluxation-based, family friendly, children centered, open office concept of its kind in the Fargo/Moorhead community. The roots of Core Health originate from the health challenges that Dr. Barton experienced as a child. Throughout childhood and well into his teenage years Dr. Barton had dealt with many "common" childhood health issues such as chronic bronchitis, acne, asthma, and headaches. After years of medication the issues only grew worse, and it was time for a change. After a severe concussion at the age of 12, Dr Barton began seeing a chiropractor. Following a few months of consistent, subluxation-based chiropractic care, Dr. Barton (age 12) had not only recovered from the concussion symptoms, but also began to experience a life without the "common" childhood health issues. The yearning to understand how just a few months of chiropractic had accomplished what medical doctors and pharmacists were unable to over years, was the determining factor in Dr. Barton’s quest to achieve a degree as a Doctorate of Chiropractic.
"What we have come to accept as "common health issues" is not normal human health. My life was forever transformed by a Doctor of Chiropractic who lived on principle. Seeing clarity through contrast, I believe one of the greatest civil duties is to provide children with the best future possible. I can think of no greater purpose in life than to maintain a Pay-It-Forward attitude, thus chiropractic care for the newborn, toddler and teenager has been my life focus." --Dr. Barton
In 2011, Dr. Barton was paralyzed from the waist down, while being paralyzed was fortunately not permanent, Dr. Barton had ongoing health issues because of this incident. The damage of the incident had taken its toll and by 2020 Dr. Barton was concerned if he would be able to continue his career. In late 2020, Dr. Barton was introduced to the SoftWave technology. Core Health invested into this technology in hopes that it would save Dr. Barton’s career. The SoftWave technology has not only saved Dr. Barton’s career, but he can once again be active with his children, live without daily pain, and no longer has no numbness/tingling.
With yet another personal testimony Core Health now utilizes the SoftWave technology to enhance the healing experience for others. Dr. Barton is an author, coach, entrepreneur, and speaker but his greatest accomplishment is being a husband and father.
A native to North Dakota, Dr. Steph found herself looking to return to this great state after graduating from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, IA. Dr. Steph was adopted as a young child which has led her to have an internal inspiration and passion to serve children of all ages to help them live to their optimal health potential from conception/birth and onward. Adding to her purpose to serve children and mother's to be, is the fact that she experienced multiple ear infections and seemingly "caught" every bacteria and virus as a young child. Multiple medications, ear surgery, eardrum ruptures and a compromised immune system has lead
Dr. Steph along her path to improving the health of children through specific, sublxation-based chiropractic care. Serving over 100 children a week brings one to have extreme experience, however Dr. Steph has taken it upon herself to complete over 200-hours of additional training in pediatrics and pregnancy. Dr. Steph's love, knowledge, experience and ability to relate to children has allowed her to be one of the most sought after chiropractors in our region. "I believe wholeheartedly that my purpose in life was to experience the love of family through adoption, as well as to experience "ill-health" growing up. I pride myself on the fact that my past experiences need not be what other children experience. As a result, I aspire to connect on a level with every child that is unparalleled so they may experience a life greater than my own." --Dr. Steph
Hi, I'm Dr. Lauren! I am a wife to my husband of 12 years, Andrew, a mother to Ollie, and a dog mom to Mia and Nora, our huskies. I did my undergrad in Exercise Science at NDSU, and continued to get my chiropractic degree at NWHSU in Bloomington, MN. The opportunity that I get to care for people and help them best adapt to what life has for them is what makes this place such a blessing. Adjustments aren't the only way that we can help people. We can help them see things from a different perspective, we can brighten their mood with our interaction, we can provide a safe and calming atmosphere so they can heal that much better. It's an absolute honor to be a chiropractor, let alone a chiropractor with Core Health!
Family and health are priorities in Amanda's life. While she was a stay at home mom for 6 years, she was searching for ways to keep her own family healthy, and found an extended family at Core Health.
When she was ready to re-enter the workforce she found a home with this trusted team, where she is able to share her passion for healthy families with the families we serve.
Kjiesta is passionate about health journeys. During the spring of 2019 Kjiesta was experiencing health issues that eventually became so severe it was hard for her to even hold her children or finish a meal. Countless doctors appointments left her without answers, in pain and severely malnourished. Eventually the answer came to light — an allergy to gluten. Since then she has held high value in her health and her families health; both mental and physical.
From starting a workout routine to eating healthier foods, she’s found the value in a healthy lifestyle not only for herself but for those that surround her. Minot native, University of North Dakota graduate, wife and mother of two, Kjiesta is so excited and energized to join the team at Core Health and to be a small part in your journey to a healthier you!
